Instructor — CCIE Exam Prep 101

Overview

Delivers BSF Systems' in-demand CCIE Exam Prep course, preparing experienced networking professionals for the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert exam and expert-level network design and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert-level instruction across the Cisco networking domains covered by the current CCIE exam blueprint.
• Design lab scenarios (routing/switching, security, automation, or the learner's chosen CCIE track) that mirror the complexity of the real CCIE lab exam.
• Coach learners through mock lab exams and structured, timed troubleshooting drills.
• Maintain current knowledge of Cisco's exam blueprint, which is revised periodically, and update materials accordingly.
• Advise learners on realistic study timelines given the CCIE's well-documented difficulty and low first-attempt pass rate.

Skills & Competencies

• Expert-level, current knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, and network architecture.
• Ability to build and troubleshoot complex, multi-device lab environments (physical or virtual, e.g., Cisco Modelling Labs/GNS3) live.
• Strong exam-coaching skill — able to diagnose why a learner is failing practice labs and correct the underlying gap, not just the symptom.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication for a highly technical, experienced audience.

Education & Experience

• Active CCIE certification required (any track: Enterprise Infrastructure, Security, Service Provider, or equivalent); CCIE Emeritus status with recent hands-on experience also considered.
• 8+ years of enterprise networking experience, including design and operation of large-scale, multi-site networks.
• Additional Cisco or multi-vendor certifications (CCNP, JNCIE, or equivalent) are an asset.
• Prior experience teaching or mentoring toward expert-level certification strongly preferred, given the exam's difficulty.

Compensation

Premium per-cohort contract rate reflecting CCIE-level expertise; BSF Systems' standard instructor agreement applies.
