Instructor — Certified Cybersecurity Professional

Overview

Delivers BSF Systems' flagship, in-demand Certified Cybersecurity Professional course — network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and incident response — preparing learners for real analyst and pentesting roles and for industry certification exams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on instruction in network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and incident response using industry-standard tools (Wireshark, Metasploit).
• Design and supervise lab exercises that simulate real attack-and-defence scenarios in a safe, contained environment.
• Align course content with recognized certification bodies (e.g., (ISC)², CompTIA, EC-Council) so learners are exam-ready, not just conceptually familiar.
• Stay current on the evolving threat landscape and update labs and case studies to reflect real, recent incidents.
• Assess learner readiness for entry- to mid-level cybersecurity roles: Cybersecurity Analyst, Ethical Hacker, IT Security Specialist.

Skills & Competencies

• Deep, current expertise in offensive and defensive security: network security, cryptography, penetration testing, incident response.
• Hands-on fluency with Wireshark, Metasploit, and comparable security tooling.
• Ability to run live, hands-on labs safely and translate technical depth into structured learning for mixed-level learners.
• Familiarity with security governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001) is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience (required).
• 5+ years of professional experience in security operations, penetration-testing, or an incident response role.
• Active industry certification required — CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ at minimum; GIAC or OSCP a strong asset.
• Prior teaching, corporate training, or technical mentoring experience required.

Compensation

Per-cohort contract rate, commensurate with experience and certification level; BSF Systems' standard instructor agreement applies.
